Engage visitors with information, don't bombard them with every piece of info about your product or service, less is more when it comes to clarity.
Remember the use of technology should enhance a visitors experience not detract from it, you need to find ways to be memorable.
Ensure your branding is consistent throughout all marketing material, this is the one time it may be all displayed at once. First impressions count.
Before you set up try and assess the direction of traffic to capture the attention of the greatest number of visitors to the venue.
Eye catching graphics and professional knowledge will draw people in, don't put a table/barrier between you and a potential customer, maximise opportunities and put everyone in your eye line.
Once set-up is complete, take a step back and ensure you have used the maximum space, compare your stand to other stands and ask yourself what improvements you can make for now and next time.
Visitors only have a short time to get around everyone, connections may be brief, make notes, fill out enquiry forms and ensure you follow up all leads.
And lastly.... have a great day, don't forget to be armed with caffeine, mints, comfy shoes and plenty of business cards!
