If you have never explored email marketing as part of your company business strategy to promote products and services, here are a few tips to get you started.
If possible make the email campaign personal, write for an audience of one.
Keep them short - most people scan read e-mails, hopefully you will have written catchy content to grab the attention of the reader.
Avoid sending emails on say Monday morning... people have much work to get through :-)
Keep the look and style of the newsletter consistent with your company branding.
Always have an unsubscribe link, not everyone wants to hear about your products and services, even if you are passionate about them!
Make sure your subject line is short but creative, to the point and under 50 characters.
DONT USE CAPITALS! IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO READ AND CAN BE PERCEIVED AS SHOUTING.
Don't send too many, one fortnightly or monthly is frequent enough.
Provide both HTML and Plain Text versions of your email campaign, this way everyone will be able to see your communications.
Add links to your website so people can find more information on your products or services.
